In a 1912 character building adorned with ivy, the Sylvia is a quaint, eco-friendly hotel on the shores of English Bay in the West End and close to Stanley Park. Named after Sylvia, the daughter of the original owner. The Sylvia was the site of Vancouver's first cocktail bar, which opened in 1954.
