The Stanley, as it is best known to locals, debuted its first show in 1930 and has since had a colourful history as both a performance stage and movie theatre. The Stanley is an icon in the vibrant South Granville dining and shopping district. Thanks to the rescue efforts of locals, it was saved from demolition in the 1990s and now is home to live performances by the Arts Club Theatre Company.
